Avis Granary Retreat: Opening Celebration

Last week, the Fernau + Hartman team joined North Fork Builders and subcontractors at the Avis Ranch, where the Avis family hosted an opening celebration of the completed Cookhouse and Equipment Barn.

We hope you checked out our Architectural Record feature, in our last post. Earlier last month, the F+H team was generously hosted by the owners of the Santa Ynez house. What a delight for members of the office to experience and explore the living spaces and the outdoor rooms of the house, which was completed in 2010.

The Santa Ynez House (a.k.a. the Inside/Outside House) will be featured in the 2012 Design Issue of the Los Angeles Times Magazine. Be sure to keep an eye out for its release on May 6th!

Laura Hartman to Judge AIASF 2012 Interior Architecture Design Awards

Laura Hartman will serve on the jury for this year's AIA San Francisco Design Awards Program for Excellence in Interior Architecture, along with Anne Fougeron of Fougeron Architecture, Angela Brooks of Brooks + Scarpa, and Lydia Lee of Remodelista. The winners will be celebrated at the 2012 Design Awards Gala at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in April.
